A set of reports for a series of Historic Environment Character Zones (HECZs) identified as part of the Historic Environment Assessment for Cannock Chase District (see SST660 for the final summary report on the project). This appendix provides an assessment of the historic environment for each of the identified HECZs for Rugeley (one of two project areas including Cannock (SST661) and Rugeley (SST662).
Each HECZ report includes a summary of the historic environment within the zone, a summary of the heritage assets including their survival, potential, documentation (or evidence) diversity, group associations, amenity value and sensitivity to change.
An overall statement for significance for each zone, including recommendations for future management is also provided within each report.
