Description
A set of reports for a series of Historic Environment Character Zones (HECZs) identified as part of the Historic Environment Assessment for Lichfield District (see SST1348 for the final summary report on the project). This appendix provides an assessment of the historic environment for each of the identified HECZs for Lichfield (one of three project areas including Lichfield (SST1350), Burntwood (SST1351) and Tamworth (SST1352)). Broader Historic Environment Character Areas (HECAs) for Lichfield are described under SST1349.
Each HECZ report includes an overall summary, a list of designated heritage assets, a summary of the archaeological character and the historic landscape. It also provides a summary of the historic assets and the relative significance including discussion of survival, potential, documentation (or evidence) diversity, group associations, amenity value and sensitivity to change.
It should be noted that the information and any recommendations contained within each of the documents is subject to amendment should any new information become available.
